OBJECTIVE: India is endeavouring to become the third-largest aviation market by 2026. With the passage of time, the surge in the population on the airports have given rise to a lot of problems. Flying today has become completely different from what it was a few years back. If airlines want to survive, they need to do something exceptional in order to give a seamless flying experience to its customers. That is where our products come in. Our project has two objectives,
Better passengers experience that is to differentiate between normal, depressed and nervous passengers. Scientifically everything in that happens inside the human body has some effect on the pulse rate. So, our idea was to monitor and understand the fluctuations in the pulse rate thus understanding the mood of the passenger and taking necessary initiatives without invading into their privacy.
Airline/Airport staff’s safety, the same concept of pulse detection combined with position and orientation can be used to ensure the safety of the Airline staff.
OUR CONCEPT:
To understand the Passengers, we use pulse rate sensors fixed in the seats or in the hand rest which monitors the customers pulse rate. It works along with a body temperature sensor which detects the temperature of the human body. If any major fluctuations are detected a message is sent to the central processor present inside the airplane which notifies the crew members. So that they can attend to them. It will be very helpful for old people and first-time flyers. The central processor sends all the information to the server once the aircraft lands. These data can be analysed and also be compared with customer feedback. Safety of crew member, the same concept of pulse sensor and temperature sensors are used to give distress signals. To avoid possible errors, we can incorporate it with GPS, sensors to detect speed and orientation. In the future by collecting these data ad incorporating machine learning into it, we can make it better.
FUTURE SCOPE:
The concept of machine learning can be used for better understanding and usability of the data. The concept of IOT is growing every day, Making IOT stronger than what we have in the prototype now will open new possibilities of real time analysis of data. Through better understanding of the data, we will get more input on the customer needs and their feedback. This can be used in lot of other places like railways, offices, etc.
