Inspiration
Managing crypto shouldn't require five different apps. I got tired of switching between wallets, payment tools, and portfolio trackers just to know where my money was. Bluvfi came from a simple question: why can't one app handle all of it?
What it does
Bluvfi is an AI-powered financial companion for crypto users. Pay bills with stablecoins, track your portfolio across Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, grow savings in yield vaults, and ask our AI assistant anything about your finances. Bluvfi also generate weekly insights, so you always know where your money went.
How I built it
Next.js and Capacitor made me ship one codebase to both Android and the web. The AI runs on Gemini Flash with a fallback system so it's always online. Portfolio data pulls from live on-chain sources across EVM, Solana, and XRPL. RevenueCat handles subscriptions, AdMob handles ads, and the whole thing runs on AWS Amplify with a Neon Postgres database.
Challenges I ran into
Making three different blockchains feel like one seamless experience was the hardest part. Each network has its own quirks, failure modes, and token standards. I also had to design a rate-limiting system that keeps free users happy while giving real reasons to upgrade to Premium.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
A fully working Android app with live subscription billing, real on-chain portfolio tracking across three networks, and an AI assistant that understands your actual financial data. We went from idea to production in weeks.
What I learned
AI is most valuable when it has real context. Generic financial chatbots give generic advice. When the AI knows your balance, your transactions, and your spending patterns, the answers become genuinely useful.
What's next for Bluvfi
iOS, group payment splitting for shared expenses in stablecoins. Long-term, Bluvfi becomes the financial home for people living between crypto and traditional finance.
