What it does
A pen dragging stepper-motor controlled robot that can be controlled via a mobile phone through Bluetooth.
How I built it
Built with Arduino, a solder iron, motor shield, 2 stepper motors, a laser cutter, a 3-D printer and the AccelStepper Arduino Library to control multiple steppers together. Iteration One was built with imprecise DC motors.
Challenges I ran into
The AccelStepper Library is challenging to work with and stepper wiring with a motor shield requires wire pairwise resistance checking.
What I learned
A lot about battery consumption, bluetooth and bluetooth configuration, and actuation with different motor types.
