Problem Addressed

Limited access to education often hinders the realization of people’s potential for a brighter future. These circumstances result in three significant challenges: limited opportunities stemming from backgrounds, difficulty proving capabilities without a high school degree, and uncertainty about career paths and skills. These setbacks erode morale, discouraging individuals from pursuing their aspirations and hindering self-actualization due to limitations.

Intended Audience

Blueprint was designed with people of nontraditional education backgrounds in mind. Individuals without a high school education often face significant challenges on their path to personal and professional growth. These challenges can stem from various factors, including financial constraints, disabilities, or illness, which may have hindered their ability to attain a traditional education. Despite their potential and aspirations, they encounter limitations in accessing opportunities, proving their qualifications, and understanding their own skills and interests. However, these individuals possess untapped potential and a strong desire to succeed, making it crucial to provide them with accessible and tailored solutions like Blueprint to help them break free from these barriers and realize their dreams.

How Solution Was Developed

The team started off by conducting UX research to dictate the app’s human-centered design direction.

With brainstorming using affinity diagrams, crafting a user persona, and mapping a user journey, they delved into the ideation process to conceptualize our application that addresses the career unpreparedness that people with no high school education experience.

Finally, the team utilized a multidisciplinary approach to mobile app development prototyping with graphic design and UX/UI design on Figma.
