Inspiration
Our inspiration for this game was to bring back the 90s. As beginners, we wanted to recreate a game that was simple enough for us to code but still has some complexity.
What it does
Our game has three levels. The goal of the game is to collect all the red dots (coins) and make it to the door without touching any of the walls. Once the sprite touches the wall, the game stops and you will need to reply to the game!
How we built it
We built this game using simple python language.
Challenges we ran into
We really wanted to input a score feature, however, since we did not know exactly how to do this, we found this a little challenging. Therefore, this component was taken out of the game.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are really proud that we were able to compile a simple game with the very little knowledge of code we have. We talked with others who had more experience and learnt how to input simple tasks (such as the "if" statements).
What we learned
In general, through this experience, we learnt to code simple actions using the python language. We also made new friends and discovered a whole new side of interest!
What's next for BlueMan
In the future, we hope to revamp this game by adding "enemies" and a score component to make it much more engaging.
