Inspiration
Learning QNX OS Software and Development using a RPI5 to control an LED
What it does
Allows users to turn on/off an LED with the press of a button
How we built it
Incorporated the use of QNX SDK8.0.0, RPI5, an LED, a Button, and programmed the RPI5 in C using the Momentics IDE.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the challenges we faced include:
- Difficultly connecting the RPI5 with our IDE.
- Learning how to download all the software required. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud that we were able to learn how to use an RPI5 and program it in such a short span of time, especially because it was our first time using one. ## What we learned
- We learnt how to use and connect to an RPI5 using Momentics
- Learnt a little bit of C
- How to turn on an LED, as well as using a button to activate it ## What's next for BlueGrid Hopefully, in the future, we would like to expand into being able to use different actuators and more sensors, as during this Hackathon, we spent quite a long time on how to actually run the RPI5.
