Teaching kids about the environmental impacts of single-use plastic. Single use plastic is a huge issue and the oceans are being greatly impacted.
What it does
The player takes on the role of a turtle swimming in the ocean who must avoid the floating single-use plastic around them. The idea is that this creates both empathy for the sea creatures and sparks conversations in the players life surrounding how much plastic we all use.
How we built it
The game was build in Unity using C#.
Challenges we ran into
The time limitation made getting the single use plastic to move difficult. I had planned to create a spawner which spawns different types of single use plastic but unfortunately ran out of time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was my first time creating my own art!
What we learned
Working with a partner is super helpful and it was a lot more difficult to work alone without being able to bounce ideas off someone. I will definitely pair up in the future!
