Blue Hen Sheriff

Blue Hen Sheriff leverages Google's Gemini API to detect AI-generated content in both text and images. It provides a detailed analysis and converts verdicts to speech using ElevenLabs.

Inspiration

We were inspired by the theme of the event, "Hack the Wild West" to make our project western themed and make it solve the real-world problem of deepfakes and authenticity.

What it does

Our Authenticity checker agent will prompt the user to enter either a text or image sample to be analyzed and authenticated whether or not it is AI or real. It will also give a confidence level with detailed reasoning as to its decision.

How we built it

We used Python 3.13 as the base for our code and used Gemini API for text and image analysis. We also incorporated ElevenLabs API for audio narration with a western-themed voice delivery.

Challenges we ran into

Originally we wanted to have video/audio be tested for authenticity but we had trouble with the API requests/volume of data that was going through the program.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the aesthetic of the website and our creativity tied into the western theme.

What we learned

We learned how to incorporate AI into our project to solve a real-world problem and work together as a team.

What's next for Blue Hen Sheriff

We want to tighten the confidence levels by adding more AI models to give us more accurate results and possibly explore testing video files.
