Inspiration
The way we shop lessens the feeling of freedom we have with our technology. Our choices feel limited and controlled. Technology and companies can still benefit by allowing folks to choose the products they want and explore others that they have not considered.
What it does
The interface allows a customer to go to places. Virtual shopping malls with stores and storefronts that are mixed and matched. A business districts where distributors and manufacturers show their products similar to convention but more expansive in scope and size. An entertainment complex with options for sports, ticket selling for vacations destinations and upcoming attractions and concerts.
The interface will be cross-platform with special features for VR.
How I built it
Utilizing react-native to allow for cross-platform use, there are libraries that allow for creating virtual environments.
Challenges I ran into
The challenge is to experiment with the vendors to provide more than just the products but messaging and advertisement. No one is in this space doing it in a way that captures the vision yet.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Hard to tell without showing anyone .
What I learned
React-native VR/AR, had not looked into these particular libraries yet.
What's next for Blue City
Finding partners that can fathom what I'm describing.
