Inspiration
We understand the importance of mental wellness and wanted to design something contributing to positive mental health!
What it does
Users can draw a flower by pressing a button. They can then choose to publish it to the garden or to simply save it. All users' works are displayed in a garden. Clicking on each flower shows an inspiring message!
How we built it
We did the frontend with React and the backend with Java.
Challenges we ran into
We had some difficulty combining the frontend and backend code together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Working as a team and learning new technologies! As first time hackers, we enjoyed learning how to work with the GitHub Repository while working on our separate goals.
What we learned
We learned how to integrate frontend and backend development together. We did this using visual studio.
What's next for Bloomspace
We would like to create a wellness to-do list that increases the amount of attempts to draw flowers. Another advancement would be to give the user-drawn flowers a "lifespan" before they disappear from the screen and are saved to a user-specific database.
