Inspiration

Bloomberg the leading financial companies in the world. The hackaTUM challenge seems very promising.

What it does

A simple Buy & Sell Trading Platform. Can be extended with Bloomberg API.

How we built it

  • Frontend: React with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
  • Backend: Python with FastAPI, npm and mongoDB

Challenges we ran into

  • Combining frontend with backend in a systematic way (we finally solved it!)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Build a working product in two days

What we learned

  • Effective product and team management
  • Learning to use React framework and FastAPI and Bloomberg API

What's next for Bloomberg / hackaTUM

  • Empowering Bloomberg with this software to enable traders and institutional investors execute their orders on the exchange platform incredibly fast
  • Inspire fellow students to attend next year's event
