Inspiration
The keynote speaker from the opening ceremony, 3D room personal profiles, and wanting to encapsulate aspects of a project that all three of us wanted to work on.
What it does
A website that as you scroll more and more tips appear for mental health
How we built it
One of our members modeled the room in blender, one of our members did all related research and project management, and one of our members implemented the 3D assets with a combination of JS, Node.js, Vite.js, Three.js, HTML/CSS, and Github.
Challenges we ran into
Blender taking longer than we thought, environment setup and troubleshooting in VSCode, animation smoothness.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The blender modeling (new to us), the entire website (also very new and complex for us).
What we learned
We learned a ton about mental health and about women in STEM but also a ton about the programs we used.
What's next for Bloom
We plan on completing the project outside of the Hackathon. Next steps include a dark mode for the website, multiple color pallets and possible different rooms as well, adding more content, adding a chat room for women to anonymously connect with other women who are in the same situation as them.
