Inspiration
Bloom was inspired by observing and hearing about our parents' workplace disagrements. We wanted to create a solution that fosters self-improvement by encouraging constructive, anonymous feedback within teams.
What it does
Bloom allows users to sign up for teams and request anonymous feedback from their peers, helping individuals identify and address blind spots for personal and professional growth.
How we built it
We built Bloom using Firebase for user authentication and database management, and React for the front-end interface.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges in planning the feature implementation, managing the database structure, and ensuring accurate referencing between users, teams, and feedback.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We implemented our goal of an anonymous feedback system with a clean interface. Despite this being the first hackathon for many of us, we worked in parallel, used unfarmiliar technologies, and learned a lot!
What we learned
We gained a deeper understanding of Firebase integration, database management, and the importance of planning features more thoroughly before development.
What's next for Bloom
Next steps include adding more features, such as feedback analytics, and hosting the front end to make Bloom fully accessible for anyone to use.
