About the project

India faces a persistent gap in blood availability, especially impacting Thalassemia patients who depend on regular transfusions for survival. Inspired by Blood Warriors’ grassroots work and the urgent need for a scalable digital infrastructure, we created BloodSync, a practical and inclusive system built for action in the real world.

BloodSync is designed for immediacy and trust: a WhatsApp-based chatbot handles emergency requests and FAQs, while a web-based dashboard manages real-time analytics, donor engagement, and predictive demand forecasting. We used synthetic datasets grounded in Indian context and simulated APIs from e-RaktKosh to overcome integration roadblocks during the hackathon.

We may(or we will) face multiple constraints — limited time, API access issues for E-RatKosha, and the challenge of designing for diverse users. Yet, with a lean stack and iterative approach, we will built a deployable MVP that speaks directly to the Blood Warriors’ operational pain points.
