Inspiration : Actually my brother is a employee in Bhaktapur Red Cross Society. He oftenly gets lots of call during midnight from different people about the availability of blood. So he used to get disturbed a lot. Because of this problem ,I came up with the idea of making a blood db app.
What it does : The app provides information about availability of different blood groups in different blood banks as well as in hospital of nepal.
How I built it: It is built with java in android studio and for the back end stuffs , we have used firebase.
Challenges I ran into: I came up with lot of features in apps. But because of unavailability of time, i couldn't implement all those features.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of: If someone could get help from this app, it would be really appreaciating for me.
What I learned: I learned about use of dynamic fragments as well as firebase_firestore;
What's next for BloodPoka: With the collaboration with Nepal government, we will be surely launching this app on the playstore as soon as possible so that needy peoples could get benefits from that.
