Inspirati## Problem

Hospitals and blood banks can face sudden shortages of specific blood groups during emergencies, accidents, festivals, and seasonal disease outbreaks. At the same time, blood units in some locations may remain unused and approach their expiry date. Donor availability and hospital demand are also often difficult to coordinate in real time.

Solution

BloodFlow AI is an AI-powered platform designed to forecast blood demand by hospital and blood group. It analyzes historical demand and availability patterns to help predict upcoming requirements. The platform also identifies nearby eligible donors based on blood group, location, and availability, and can send timely donation alerts when there is an urgent requirement.

How It Works

Hospitals or blood banks provide blood inventory and requirement information. The ML model forecasts future demand for different blood groups. When a shortage or urgent requirement is identified, the platform matches the requirement with suitable nearby donors and provides alerts. Dashboards help blood banks and health authorities monitor demand, availability, and urgent requirements.

Impact

The goal of BloodFlow AI is to reduce delays in finding suitable blood, improve coordination between hospitals, blood banks, and donors, and support better blood inventory management. By using demand forecasting and intelligent donor matching, the platform aims to improve timely access to blood during critical situations.

Future Scope

The platform can be extended with real-time hospital integration, blood expiry prediction, emergency alerts, district-level demand forecasting, and integration with authorized blood banks and healthcare networks.on
