Inspiration

Thalassemia remains underdiagnosed and misunderstood, especially in rural areas. We were inspired to create a solution that spreads awareness and promotes early screening.

What it does

BLOOD DROP educates users about Thalassemia, offers carrier screening guidance, and connects them to nearby blood donation and testing centers.

How we built it

We developed BLOOD DROP using a mobile-first design with educational modules, map integration for centers, and a simple questionnaire for risk assessment.

Challenges we ran into

Finding reliable and localized health data was tough. We also had to simplify medical content for public understanding without losing accuracy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created an intuitive, accessible platform that brings life-saving information to people who need it most. It’s already helping communities become more informed

What we learned

We learned the power of combining tech with public health — and how essential clear communication is when dealing with sensitive health issues.

What's next for BLOOD DROP

We plan to add multilingual support, integrate live chat with health professionals, and partner with NGOs for community-level screening drives
