Inspiration

We have focused on the 3rd sustainable development goal of the united nations which is Good health and well-being .The unavailability of blood has leads to a number of deaths and many patients suffer from ill-health. Pakistan has a high burden of thalassemia and according to estimates, 5000 children are born with thalassemia each year and 70,000 patients are registered with the disease at the existing level, shortage amounts to as much as 40 per cent.

What it does

This app keep record of all persons registered to it as donor and acceptor of blood.The person who want the blood can see all available blood donors with respect to their blood group and can call them and ask for their availability without need of any external social link as two persons can contact directly.This will help in the reduction of deaths and ill health condition due to the unavailability of blood or blood donor.

How I built it

I have used android environment with xml as frontend and java as backend handling all functionalities also we use firebase as an online storage that enables it to access data through the internet from anywhere.

Challenges I ran into

Using firebase configurations, data storage and retrieval was very challenging.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Coding Perspective: Making a live app that can be access information from anywhere for anyone.
Social Perspective: Saving a life through technology.
