Inspiration

BLOOD BHARATH PLUS was inspired by the urgent needs of Thalassemia patients and the broader Indian community facing critical gaps in timely blood availability, ineffective donor engagement, and limited awareness especially during emergencies. Recognizing the tremendous potential of Agentic AI and the power of social media, we aimed to build an intelligent, trustworthy, and inclusive solution that rapidly connects donors, patients, hospitals, and volunteers across Bharat.

What it does

Our BLOOD BHARATH PLUS is a comprehensive AI-powered platform that:

Predicts and matches blood donors with patients in real-time using Microsoft Azure AI Agents.

Integrates with WhatsApp, social media, and hospital dashboards to notify and engage donors instantly especially those recently active on social platforms.

Monitors posts across LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to identify willing donors, blood donation campaigns, and government schemes, alerting users about urgent requirements and special opportunities.

Auto-generates and posts campaign material using Gen AI if urgent needs are unmet.

Tracks each donated unit’s journey, allowing donors and hospitals to communicate, and uses dashboards for nurses, donors, and patients.

Keeps data private, communication seamless, and involvement rewarding through gamification and recognition.

How we built it

We planned to use these tech stack and service to build our solution

Microsoft Azure AI Agents handle donor-patient matching, predictive notifications, language translation, and automated message routing.

Social media APIs monitor posts for blood donation intent, government schemes, and campaigns, feeding insights into the central system.

Integration with WhatsApp & dashboards for instant updates, real-time coordination, and automated FAQ handling.

Gen AI multi models to auto-generate digital pamphlets in English and Indian languages, posting them directly to social media when urgent needs arise.

Azure Blockchain Technology - Transparent Donor Recognition: Use Azure Blockchain Service to create a tamper-proof ledger of all blood donations. Every donation event—from donor registration to transfusion—can be securely recorded.

A modular, privacy-first backend ensures user consent and secure data management throughout.

What's next for BLOOD BHARATH PLUS

Expand to deeper hospital integration (across states), adding predictive analytics for blood stock shortages.

Work with government agencies and NGOs to disseminate new policies, benefits, and campaigns directly to users.

Develop partnerships with influencers to amplify urgent needs and life-saving stories.

Refine GenAI pamphlet generation for even more engaging, context-aware outreach in regional languages.

Pilot advanced geolocation-based urgent notifications for hyperlocal emergency blood drives.

Conduct real-world pilots in Thalassemia and trauma centers across Bharat and use learnings to scale nationwide.
