Inspiration
This Project is inspired by a blog post that talks about why we should not create clones of big companies like Amazon etc and instead build something useful. So I decided to make a blog application that can be used by beginners to start writing
What it does
This is a Blog Web app that provides users with all the facilities like seamless login/register. Then it has all the facilities to create, edit delete the post. It has a reader and editor mode which provides a clear distinction between users who want to create content and those who just want to read content.
How we built it
I built it using various Frontend and backend technologies. For the front end, I have used React, tailwind react-redux, and TINYMCE as editor. For the backend part, I have used Appwrite as my backend and database.
Challenges we ran into
While making this project I faced a ton of issues like Handling CORS issues and understanding and implementing React-redux which I have learned specifically for this project to manage the state of my application efficiently
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of the fact that despite all the difficulties that I faced(mentioned above) I somehow managed to get out with support from some of my friends. I also took the help of articles that happened to be written by MLH fellows
What we learned
I learned what it takes to build an end-to-end application. I have also learned that debugging is not easy and it is a great skill to have in your arsenal
What's next for BlogIt - A blogging platform for beginner
The next phase of Blogit is to deploy it and make it live. Next is to improve both the UI/UX of this site to have a more modern appeal. Also I want to Implement the OAuth login system.
Built With
