This will enable users to view their points they have gathered from shopping from different service providers, shop more with these points and also transfer to other members.
Here in Kenya it is difficult to track loyalty points across various vendors and also transfer the said points to friends and family. Therefore we developed the Koup-Loyalty Points System to solve this problem.
Koup allows you to receive loyalty points from a supermarket and you can be able to spend those points in the same supermarket or transfer them to another user who is subscribed to the same supermarket.
We build it using daml smart contract language.
We faced the challenge of UI integration to the contract template and also the challenge of getting online repositories on created daml projects.
We managed to learn how daml works from idea to conceptualization of any solution and we are looking forward to create a more detailed solution using all the tools that daml has to offer.
We have learnt the logic behind smart contracts templates, the daml sandbox which allows you to view contract instances and the daml navigator which gives you an web interface to interact with the smart contract template.
If we had more time and resources we envision the system being able to do multi-platform transfer of points; between different service providers who do not belong to the same industry e.g. points acquired from filling gas can be transferred and used in an education platform.
