Inspiration
When looking for problems to tackle, we realized that carbon emissions from these different large corporations were not easy to access for people. We want people to know which corporations are major offenders in outputting greenhouse gases and which are making efforts to offset emissions towards net zero goals. From this problem, we found that the blockchain could be a powerful solution for solving this.
What it does
Each corporation would update its carbon emissions to the blockchain, and then our website would display the running ledger with the total carbon emissions in our atmosphere. Due to the security, validity, and transparency of the blockchain, we believe BlockForest could be a major part of our world's journey to net zero.
How we built it
We used Hedera to create the base of our blockchain and connected it to our website made on wix.
