Inspiration

I love pizzas, but online pizza ordering apps are not available in my region. This inspired me to create a solution that bridges this gap while leveraging cutting-edge Web3 technology.

What it does

Our Web3 Pizza App allows users to order tasty pizzas from nearby pizzerias at a low cost. It utilizes blockchain for secure transactions and IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) to store user data and preferences securely.

How we built it

  1. Research and Planning: We started by researching Web3, blockchain, and IPFS technologies to understand their potential.
  2. Development: We developed the app using blockchain for secure and transparent transactions, and IPFS to securely store user data. The app was designed to be user-friendly and efficient.
  3. Testing: We conducted extensive testing, incorporating user feedback to refine and improve the app.

Challenges we ran into

  • Technical Complexity: Implementing blockchain and IPFS was technically challenging and required significant learning and experimentation.
  • Data Security: Ensuring secure storage and transmission of user data was a major focus.
  • User Experience: Balancing advanced technology with a simple, intuitive interface posed a constant challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Successfully integrating Web3 and IPFS technologies into a functional pizza ordering app.
  • Creating a secure and efficient platform that fills a service gap in our region.
  • Achieving a user-friendly interface that simplifies the ordering process.

What we learned

We gained deep insights into blockchain and IPFS technologies and their practical applications. We also learned the importance of user feedback in creating an intuitive and accessible app.

What's next for Blockchain Pizza

We plan to expand the app’s reach, adding more pizzerias and enhancing features based on user feedback. Future updates may include support for more cryptocurrencies and further improvements to the user interface and security measures.
