Inspiration
Travel is a lifestyle trend for the younger generations, and increasingly so. However, the impact of travel related pollution is posing a threat to the environment. Our project aims at encouraging sustainable travel to preserve the nature.
What it does
It creates a sustainability-linked loyalty program that encourages bank customers to participate in "green challenges" hosted by ecosystem partners while traveling and get rewards based on the extent of reduction of impact on the environment
How we built it
While the original platform is aimed to be built using blockchain as an underlying technology, the demo has been built with common platforms, technologies and languages (to showcase the functionality rather than the tech superiority)
What's next for Blockchain for Sustainable Tourism Ecosystem
The next step would be to put pitch the idea to industry stakeholders while parallelly working to create a blockchain-based prototype.
