Inspiration

The rise of counterfeit drugs and unauthorized use of precursor chemicals in the pharmaceutical industry inspired us to develop a robust solution. These issues jeopardize public health, safety, and trust, highlighting the urgent need for a secure and transparent supply chain. We envisioned a system leveraging Blockchain and IoT to address these challenges effectively.

What it Does

Our solution tracks drugs and precursor chemicals throughout the supply chain, ensuring tamper-proof records and real-time monitoring. It assigns Unique Identification Numbers (UINs) to batches, enabling stakeholders to verify movements, prevent misuse, and comply with regulatory standards. The system enhances visibility, mitigates risks, and builds trust across the pharmaceutical ecosystem.

How We Built It

We integrated Blockchain for immutable data storage, IoT for real-time monitoring, and RFID/BLE for precise tracking. GPS technology was added for location visibility. The system assigns UINs to chemical batches, creating a digital trail. We adopted a phased approach to ensure scalability, cost-efficiency, and ease of implementation.
