🌟 Inspiration
Supply chains today suffer from fraud, fake products, and poor transparency. We wanted to build a system where every product’s journey is secure, traceable, and impossible to manipulate.
🛠️ What it does
Our system registers each product on the blockchain, tracks every movement across the supply chain, stores metadata on IPFS, and lets anyone verify authenticity with a single product ID or QR code.
🔧 How we built it
We used Solidity smart contracts on Ethereum/Ganache, IPFS for decentralized storage, and Remix + MetaMask for deployment and testing. Each product’s history, transfers, and roles are immutably recorded on-chain.
🚧 Challenges we ran into
Balancing on-chain vs off-chain storage, debugging immutable smart contracts, managing role-based permissions, and ensuring IPFS availability were the toughest parts.
🏆 Accomplishments we’re proud of
We built a fully working blockchain traceability prototype: product creation, secure transfers, immutable history, IPFS integration, and end-to-end verification—all successfully tested.
