BlockBudget is a neighborhood budgeting simulator that helps people explore how limited community funds could be distributed.
Users receive 100 tokens to allocate across proposals such as crosswalk lighting and street trees. The app shows allocations, funding thresholds, and results. Users can save and compare different budget scenarios, add proposals, and export or print a summary.
I built it as a local web application without requiring a login or backend. All proposals and results are illustrative, not official community votes.
One challenge was balancing development with my schoolwork. I didn't have enough time to fully develop every part of the project, but I focused on building the main budgeting experience and its core interactions.
