Inspiration

Since there does not exist any integrated system between Hospitals and Clinics, the medical record could hardly be easily and reliably transferred and sometimes patients have to bring their hard-copy medical record to Hospitals or Clinics personally. In such Information Era, such limitation might be inconceivable. Therefore, a well-developed reliable transaction system between Hospitals and Clinics isn’t worthless and can conform to the times.

What it does

We store the medical record, these important and sensitive data as the transactions into the block of the blockchain. In this way, only the participant related to the medical record can view the detail of the medical record. And it can prevent these sensitive data from being tempered and falsified.

How we built

  • We build it based on Hyperledger Fabric, which is developed by IBM.
  • We use Node.js to develop the transactions and logic of the back-end.
  • And then we use REST to interact with this system.

Challenges we ran into

  • Hyperledger Fabric is not easy hands on.
  • Whole design of applying blockchain to medical field

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We design and write the transactions flow of medical record using blockchain technology
  • We accomplish the API for further implementation of blockchain

  • Gain understanding of the blockchain

  • Optimize the transaction flow and system design
  • Build application on the back-end we have developed
