Inspiration

All members in our group are recently obsessed with Clash Royale, so we wanted to make a simpler version of it with fun games and the competition we feel when playing others.

What it does

out of 4 randomly selected games, 3 random games are selected. and who gets more points wins, there is a cool animation for the sudden death and 95% of things are personally pixel drawn by us.

How we built it

Node.js with socket.io for minimal latency, everything mostly runs on typescript.

Challenges we ran into

drawing sprites and somtimes editing the wrong typescript file which means changes dont update, confusing us. we are stil learning typescript so was a little confusing.

For the most part, everything works!

What we learned

more collaborative elements. work on code simultaneously, design artwork, lowkey became artists in an hour

What's next for BlitzBattles

add more games, account for scalibility with better servers, if its big rewrite it for C++ for absolute minimum latency but thats overkill, add more interactive games, like darts or cups or something
