inspiration

so i got engaged (yay!) but i had no idea what to do next. and then realised planning a wedding is actually just a bunch of googling and spreadsheets and stress. every site i tried just showed me the same vendors, and half of them weren’t even available. honestly, i just wanted to have fun and not spend hours emailing people. so i thought, why isn’t there a thing that just does all the boring bits for you? that’s why i made this.

what it does

blissfully ai is a very helpful platform to organise your wedding, but the supercharged AI functionality we have added is the automated, unbiased wedding research. like, it looks for vendors, checks prices, helps with the budget, and even tries to get you a deal. it’s not just a list of people who paid to be on the platform (like all the competitors). it actually checks everywhere. you just tell it what you want and it sorts it out.

how we built it

bolt did it for me :D i also integrated revenuecat to the best of my ability, gave it a cute and very memorable domain name, made it look very pretty.

challenges we ran into

time! i was traveling and i got engaged. which gave me the idea, but i didn't have much time left after that trip haha. also, making sure the info it finds isn’t super old or wrong was kinda hard. most sites just let anyone sign up and never check if they’re still around.

accomplishments that we’re proud of

• it actually works (most of the time lol)]
• made something that feels way less boring than the usual planning tools
• actually built a side hustle which i think will be an awesome product to sell and work on after this hackathon

what we learned

• planning weddings is stressful...
• most wedding websites are just ads
• people just want things to be easy and not get ripped off

what’s next for blissfully ai

gonna try to make it work for more places, let couples plan together, maybe add some eco-friendly options, add contract management and boring prenup stuff. and would be cool to get some real couples to try it out and tell me what is great! and what sucks.
