💡 Inspiration

We all hate waiting. Whether it's at hospitals, banks, or government offices, standing in line wastes time, creates stress, and kills productivity. We envisioned a world where lines don’t exist — and that’s how BlinkQ was born. A system where your place in the queue is just a tap away.

⚙️ What It Does

BlinkQ is a smart, real-time queue management system that:

  • Lets users join queues remotely via a web or mobile interface
  • Provides live updates on waiting time
  • Sends notifications when it's almost their turn
  • Enables contactless, efficient service flow

For businesses, it offers:

  • A powerful admin dashboard to manage queues
  • Analytics to optimize peak hours
  • A better customer experience that keeps people coming back

🛠️ How We Built It

  • Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Responsive UI)
  • Backend: Node.js with Express.js (REST APIs)
  • Database: MongoDB (Queue, user, and business data)
  • Authentication: Session/JWT-based login system
  • Queue Tracking & Analysis: Python + OpenCV (for real-time footfall/crowd tracking)
  • Notifications: Email/SMS alerts integrated via APIs

🚧 Challenges We Ran Into

  • Real-time synchronization between clients and admin
  • Designing a clean, accessible UI for all age groups
  • Managing queue logic dynamically across service types
  • Integrating Python-based vision modules with the Node backend
