Inspiration

Through the countless amount of video calls and lectures, we found it difficult to engage with the content being brought. We imagined that it would be considerably worse for younger students who already do not have a high attention span. We sought to help teachers bring a more classroom feel to the online environment by creating a web call application that surrounds the needs of younger students and teachers.

What it does

It provides a way for teachers to interact with students online a while fostering engaging activities. Teachers will be able to quickly bring up short activities such as quizzes, small problems, or challenges.

How we built it

We used react for the numerous pages created and tailwind css framework to design the front end. Agora.io is an API that provides the functionalities of video calls, recordings, chat messaging, and many more that was utilized in our app.

Challenges we ran into

Agora.io was difficult to implement as we were not as experienced with the API. Additionally, trying to connect the working backend with the front end prosed some challenges as everything was not exactly aligned.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create a functioning website with some working functionalities from Agora.io.

What we learned

It is important to document your progress and set a right MVP. It creates more consistency across the team and allows for the most efficient way of completing the project.
