In the modern World, many people forget to blink, leading to dry eyes, scratchiness, and many more eye problems. Our app tries to solve this issue by notifying the user to blink their eyes. Yeah by just blinking you can avoid a major crisis in future
What it does
Alerting the user to blink often and take time off the screen
How we built it
It is built using flask, mediapipe and openCv
Challenges we ran into
decided to go with javascript at first, but it was way too laggy and not accurate in recognizing blinks, it was using face.api.min-js library. that is when python came in handy with rich library support for OpenCV applications Displaying video stream on the web app, countered by sending series of images through imencode function
What's next for Blink
thinking of making it an extension, and yeah optimizing its code so that it works faster
