About the Project

This project is a prototype story-driven exploration game that attempts to present the world from the perspective of a visually impaired person. Instead of relying on traditional visuals alone, the game focuses on sound, echoes, environmental cues, and sensory perception to create immersion and challenge the player’s understanding of navigation and survival. The core idea of the prototype is to highlight the small yet difficult struggles that blind individuals may face in daily life, such as moving through unfamiliar spaces, identifying obstacles, reacting to sudden environmental changes, and dealing with discomfort caused by harsh lights or confusing surroundings. Players use echo-based mechanics to sense nearby objects and pathways, encouraging them to depend more on hearing and spatial awareness rather than sight.

The game is designed not only as an interactive experience but also as an experiment in empathy-driven gameplay. Through its atmosphere, sound design, and environmental storytelling, the prototype aims to make players think differently about accessibility and perception. Various gameplay situations are intentionally designed to create tension and uncertainty, reflecting how ordinary environments can become challenging without clear vision. Since the project is currently in its prototype stage, the main focus has been on testing the core mechanics, player immersion, and emotional impact of the concept rather than delivering a fully polished experience. Future improvements may include expanded levels, deeper narrative elements, enhanced audio systems, accessibility options, and more advanced interactions that further develop the unique perspective and gameplay style introduced in this early version.
