Inspiration

Developers ship bugs not because they're careless, but because code makes invisible assumptions nobody catches in review. I wanted an agent that closes that gap automatically.

What It Does

Blindspot is a GitLab Duo Agent flow that analyzes merge requests for risky assumptions and missing error handling. It reads your code, classifies findings by severity, generates fixes, saves a findings report, opens a GitLab issue, and posts a summary back to the MR.

How I Built It

Pure YAML flow definitions and prompt engineering on the GitLab Duo Agent Platform. Four chained agents: find assumptions, verify them, generate fixes, document everything.

Challenges

Keeping agents code-specific rather than generic, and knowing when to cut scope (dropped test execution mid-build) to ship something real by the deadline.

What I Learned

Prompt chaining is an architectural discipline. What each agent passes forward determines everything about the quality of what comes next.
