Online learning today is broken — it's overwhelming, generic, and disconnected from the learner's reality. We wanted to fix that.
Blimari was inspired by a simple question: "What if anyone could learn anything, from anywhere, in minutes — and feel like it was made just for them?"
We combined the power of LLMs with Qloo’s cultural intelligence to go beyond AI personalization. We wanted cultural adaptation: learning paths that speak to your background, your language style, your taste.
Blimari is a learning platform that builds personalized learning paths in minutes. The idea was simple: learning something new should feel as easy as asking a friend. But instead of a random list of links, the user gets a structured journey — with content that feels relevant, clear, and culturally familiar.
It all started with one question: how can we make online learning feel as natural as watching a good YouTube video, but with depth and structure? We used Gemini to understand what the user wants to learn, generate smart questions, and build the learning path. And we used Qloo to detect the user’s cultural taste, so we could adapt everything — from content examples to sequencing — without cluttering the interface.
The biggest challenge was finding the balance between personalization and simplicity. We didn’t want to build a messy “AI Frankenstein” full of unnecessary steps and decisions. Everything had to happen in a few clicks. At the same time, we didn’t want shallow personalization. Qloo gave us the tools to deliver an experience that respects each learner’s culture, taste, and rhythm.
What I’m most proud of is that Blimari actually works. The onboarding takes less than two minutes. The generated path has a clear beginning, middle, and end. And in our early testing, users genuinely felt more connected to the content and examples they saw.
I learned that personalization isn’t just about technology — it’s about respect. And that AI on its own is powerful, but with real context, it becomes a true ally.
The next step is to launch a public version focused on African students and creators. I want to see Blimari helping thousands of people learn easily, with content that feels like it was made for them. We’re also working on multilingual support, community-made path templates, and partnerships with schools and training programs.
The future of education isn’t a static course. It’s a living, intelligent, and deeply personal experience. Blimari is just the beginning.
