Atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide—the most dangerous and prevalent greenhouse gas—are at the highest levels ever recorded.
Due to which greenhouse gas concentration is increasing which is affecting out planet's weather and climate systems. Extreme weather, rising seas, food supply disruptions, and increased wildfires are other effects of climate change caused by greenhouse gases. One way to decrease global warming is planting more and more trees.
According to a report we can feasibly support 25 percent more forests than we currently have.
If all those trees were planted, the team estimated it could:
1.Capture 205 gigatons of carbon.
2.Reduce carbon in the atmosphere by about 25 percent.
3.Negate about 20 years of human-produced carbon emissions at today’s rate.
Planting trees is a noble cause but we often do not get the time to do so, or lack resources(such as land). Inspired by this problem statement, we present to you, BlessedTree .
What it does
We are no stranger to the reward system provided by a lot of stores, where you create a wallet and you are given credits for your purchases. After a certain amount, you can redeem them and buy whatever you want to.
Which is an interesting scheme, right?
BlessedTree runs on similar lines where tie up with such stores/companies and provide them with this credit system facility so that customer can choose to add these rewards to our webapp BlessedTree instead of adding them to customer's company account.
After adding these points to our webapp, the customer can use them to purchase trees depending on the number of credits earned. After purchasing a tree customer will get a tree code and we will plant that purchased tree on their behalf. To ensure transparency, we will be sharing a image of the plant and its location .

Challenges We ran into
Thinking of an idea was tough, and time crunch was also challenging.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We made a working prototype.
What's next for BlessedTree
We would like to use this idea as a start-up idea. We would like to tie up with companies at costs lower than what they would spend on giving rewards to their loyal customers. This will definitely be profitable to the company and also for the customers, as they could do the blessed deed of planting tree by just doing something that they normally do!
We would also like to provide various options other than planting trees like recycling, wildlife protection for which they can use their points.
