As a software engineer living in Kenya, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible talent that exists across Africa—brilliant minds with innovative ideas, strong work ethics, and the drive to succeed. Yet, many of these talented individuals face significant barriers in accessing quality career guidance, professional development resources, and opportunities to showcase their skills to global markets.

The inspiration for Talanta Guru came from watching my friends and colleagues struggle with career decisions that could have been easily resolved with proper mentorship. I saw university graduates with excellent technical skills but no idea how to write a compelling resume. I witnessed experienced professionals stuck in dead-end jobs because they didn't know how to navigate career transitions. I observed talented individuals undervaluing themselves in salary negotiations simply because they lacked market insights.

The name combines "Talanta" (Swahili for "talent" or "gifts") with "Guru" (a universal term for teacher or mentor).
