Dude, Where's My Playlist?

Have you ever forgotten which Spotify playlists you've added a favorite song to? Forget searching every old playlist for that song you first heard ages ago because this webapp will find it in no time.

Inspiration

Basic Dude, Where's My Car?-style human forgetfulness crossed with Spotify music discovery tools that find globally shared public playlists with a certain track (Chosic Playlist Finder), but not specifically within one user's library. As far as I know, there is no other Spotify app that does this because it's a waste of time and requires indexing every single track in every single playlist in a user's library. It is not an inbuilt feature in Spotify or Youtube searches, etc. but it is inbuilt in Apple Music as "Show in Playlist".

Single-serving website/single page webapp that finds any playlist in a Spotify user's library containing a specific track.

Challenges I ran into/What I learned

I've only ever taken 3 CS classes (all introductory in Python or Java) at UCSB, in high school and at community college/HS dual enrollment. My old MacBook Air 2017 with all my old CS homework and notes on it was accidentally bricked by my PC user father when he was trying to fix some water damage. My current MacBook Pro 2020 with M1 chip can't run certain programs that Intel chips can. I was cheap and I only got the 256GB SSD storage version, so I spent about half an hour around 7pm Saturday night debating deleting Microsoft Word and Powerpoint (I did) and iCloud photos that were already backed up (not really backed up) on my iPhone so I could install some programs that were already installed on my old MacBook Air back in high school. How time flies... Of course I didn't end up needing all of those programs at all, and stuck with vanilla Javascript and an FTP server.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Staying awake for 31 hours straight

What's next for Dude, Where's My Playlist?

Figure out a way to profit $$$* No just kidding, figuring out a way to execute the same type of search without having to index every single track in every single playlist and decrease running time. Sounds impossible but you never know... *Seriously though, this is really a pet project and I know the user base of Spotify power users who would appreciate a tool like this is pretty small but dedicated.
