What it is

BLANK is a website that places videos and social feeds on a computer canvas, using a phone. Scan the QR on the desktop (or open the same room URL). Choose videos on the phone; one fills the canvas, more split into a grid. Play, pause, and volume stay on the phone. Read-only social timelines can sit on the same canvas.

Why WebMCP

The canvas page registers named tools on document.modelContext. An agent can mount videos and feeds from those tools instead of scraping HTML. The public demo does not need the optional extension.

On boot, document.modelContext.registerTool for:

  • youtube.get_current_video, youtube.get_playback_state, youtube.pause_source, youtube.get_visible_recommendations
  • social.get_visible_feed, social.search_visible_context, social.refresh
  • canvas.create_workspace, canvas.mount_youtube, canvas.render_social_feed, canvas.set_layout
  • canvas.player.play, canvas.player.pause, canvas.player.seek_relative, canvas.player.seek_absolute, canvas.player.set_volume, canvas.player.get_state
  • canvas.panel.focus, canvas.panel.resize, canvas.panel.hide, canvas.panel.remove, canvas.get_state, canvas.clear, canvas.open_x

If modelContext is missing, the canvas still runs locally. Judges can try it in ChatGPT’s in-app browser or Chrome 149+ with chrome://flags/#enable-webmcp-testing.

How people and agents work together

The person stays on the phone. The page (and an agent, when WebMCP is on) composes the PC from tools. Previously this needed a custom dashboard for each layout.

Public path

YouTube playback uses the official public embed. The optional Manifest V3 extension can read open YouTube/X tabs; it is not required for the public demo.
