The theme we’re choosing is entertainment during covid 19.
The problem we’re solving is boredom. We found that many of our friends are extremely bored and have nothing to do with all this free time.
Our solution is an online card game. This is a fun and addicting game that you can play with all your friends.
The reason we chose this project is because we have always liked card games. We thought it would be an entertaining way for our friends to engage with each other and have fun.
Our project is an online version of BlackJack that you can play with however many people you want, whereas in the casino, there is a limited number of seats. We also have an autoplay feature to increase the efficiency of the game. If your total card value is less than 10 it automatically hits for you.
We used intelliJ and java to make our project.
Since people have a lot of time on their hands, they need something to do in order to entertain themselves. This game can help people cope with stress and anxiety caused from Covid 19.
Our next steps would be to make this into a free web application where you can play remotely in the comfort of your homes. We could also add the split and double attributes of BlackJack.
This project helps people pass time and they can learn from the game too. From this simulation, you get a sense of the value of money without actually betting any real money. Additionally, you don’t actually need to go to a casino, you can play from anywhere.
We had many complications over the course of these 24 hours. There were countless times where the code had out of bounds errors and more. We really had to plan out our workflow so the project would come alive. Thankfully intelliJ has a nice debugger which really helped accomplish this game.
