Inspiration

Study Buddy TV was created with the idea of making everyday learning and revision more engaging on a television screen. We wanted to explore a simple way for learners to practice through quick quizzes and revision cards.

What it does

Study Buddy TV is an educational learning prototype featuring:

• Quick Quiz: Multiple-choice questions with instant feedback.
• Daily Challenge: A short quiz with mixed questions.
• Revision Cards: Short educational facts with a reveal-answer interaction.
• Score Points: Earn points for correct answers and track your session score.

How we built it

The current prototype was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We created a large-screen interface, interactive quiz questions, answer feedback, scoring, revision cards, and keyboard navigation.

What we learned

Building this prototype helped us explore interactive UI design, keyboard navigation, quiz logic, and feedback for learners.

Challenges

One important challenge is moving from a browser prototype to a verified TV app experience. Fire TV/VegaOS runtime compatibility and target-device testing are still pending.

Current status

This is an early browser prototype. Fire TV/VegaOS compatibility has not yet been verified.
