Inspiration Thinking about the prompt, I thought about my own journey learning about various financial products. The financial products that I remember the most were from media platforms like TikTok. There was a sense of virality but most importantly community behind these products. I believe I can help investors gain exposure to Black Rock's goal of being aligned with various EFG movements by utilizing media platform values.

Current media platforms are extremely effective at teaching and keeping users engaged, so why not post content about EFG products there? That's because Tiktok has banned almost all financial content. I then had an idea to develop a platform with the best aspects of the media platform and add a trading platform as another layer.

What it does BRock is an application where the community & professionals can create short video content to educate, enlighten, and encourage investors to sustainable investing. Users using the platform may showcase their efforts to support ESG, and scroll through a feed to discover new financial products in an easy and digestible way.

How we built it I used wireframe.cc to create an outline of the application, then used AdobeXD to create a Mock-up. Bravo St.

Challenges we ran into A challenge I ran into was finding a teammate as I am virtual. So I decided to solo hack. I wanted this project to also be technical but I ran out of time as I finished the mockup.

Accomplishments that we're proud of There are two accomplishments that I am proud of for this hackathon competition. The first of which is coming up with a unique solution to the problem that was presented in a short period of time. The second of which is the wireframe and how well developed it was in terms of showcasing everything I want the user to see.

What we learned One thing that I learned is being creative by considering not just my technical expertise but interests. I learned to build the platform mockup by thinking about others' pain points and solving problems to current trends. I also learned how to incorporate data research into developing and validating our prototype features.

What's next for BRock Unfortunately, the time allotted was only enough for me to design a mockup and not an MVP. The next step for BRock is a proof of concept that will include the main user interface and some of the features described in the mock-up. The PoC might lead to a potential demo that can be tested locally.

People get on our app, Successfully use it, then what? In the future, we want to retain users by Short Form Courses, holding exclusive events, having Event/Training Sessions, Enterprise Opportunities, and better-investing features.
