Inspiration

We were inspired by the fact that in this day and age, black-owned businesses do not get the recognition they deserve. For years, the economy has worked against people of color. One of the keys to enhancing generational wealth among African Americans is the success of black-owned businesses.

What it does

Our web app is a place where black business owners can post their business for others to find and support.

How we built it

We used Figma for design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap for the frontend, and Python, Flask, Google Cloud, and Google Cloud SQL for the backend.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges we faced were finishing all the work in the time given, and connecting the backend of the project to the front end.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of this idea because it benefits the Black community.

What we learned

We learned how to set up Google Cloud SQL for a website.

Adding the ability to search businesses using maps.
