Inspiration: We were inspired by the Too Good To Go app, which helps restaurants reduce food waste by selling surplus food. We wanted to create a similar solution—BizSpace—to help small businesses find short-term rental spaces for pop-up shops and events.
What it does:
BizSpace connects small businesses with available short-term rental spaces. It provides:
A space-finding tool: View available locations, pricing, and amenities. Booking and scheduling features: Secure rental spaces with ease. Marketing support: Promote pop-up events and club sales to attract customers
How we built it:
We used IntelliJ-IDEA and Java.
Challenges we ran into:
Connecting to the server.
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
Successfully built a working prototype. Designed a user-friendly interface. Implemented real-time space availability updates.
What we learned:
How to integrate a server connection into our application. The importance of user experience in app design. Ways to improve booking and scheduling efficiency.
What's next for BizSpace:
We plan to:
Improve server reliability for smoother connections. Expand location listings to include more rental options. Enhance marketing tools to help businesses attract more customers.
