Inspiration
The idea for BizNest was inspired by Fiverr, an online marketplace that connects freelancers with businesses seeking digital services. Like Fiverr, BizNest aims to simplify the process of finding and offering business services, but with a focus on fostering local and industry-specific B2B connections.
What it does
BizNest serves as a B2B platform where businesses can discover and connect with service providers within their industry. It offers a user-friendly interface to post requests, browse services, and communicate with potential partners. Companies can list their services, specify their expertise, and respond to requests from other businesses.
How we built it
We built BizNest using a modern tech stack, combining React.js for the frontend to ensure a dynamic and responsive user experience, with Node.js and Express for the backend to handle data management and API services. We used MongoDB for the database to store user and service information efficiently.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was creating a seamless integration between the frontend and backend, ensuring smooth data flow and real-time updates. We also faced hurdles in implementing a robust search and filtering system that could handle various industry needs and preferences.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of building on an idea that has real world purpose and benefits. We are also proud of how much we’ve learnt and how we learnt to collaborate on a project as a team. We have understood the basics of web development and integrating that with technical information and complex code and hope to build on that.
What we learned
Through the development of BizNest, we learned the importance of understanding user needs in the B2B sector and how to translate these into functional and intuitive platform features. We also gained valuable experience in full-stack development, from database design to frontend UX considerations.
What's next for BizNest
The next steps for BizNest include implementing advanced AI-driven matchmaking algorithms to better connect businesses based on their needs and service offerings. We also plan to expand our reach by incorporating more industries and scaling our infrastructure to support a growing user base. Additionally, integrating analytics tools to provide businesses with insights into their market presence and service impact is on our roadmap.
