Inspiration

Many teen girls dream of starting their own business but never do because they feel lost at the beginning. They do not know what kind of business suits them, how to build a brand, or where to even begin. A lot of startup tools out there are complicated, scattered, or not designed for beginners, especially not for young girls interested in entrepreneurship. I wanted to create something that truly supports and empowers them. Something that makes launching a business feel exciting, possible, and personalized. That is why I built BizLaunch.

What it does

BizLaunch is a web based platform that helps teen girls go from an idea to a real business with the help of artificial intelligence and empowering design. The platform starts by asking the user a few questions to understand her interests and work style. Based on her answers, BizLaunch recommends a business idea that suits her. After that, the app helps her build a brand. She can create a name, write a slogan, and choose a color theme. With this information, BizLaunch uses artificial intelligence to generate a business pitch and a professional social media caption that she can use to promote her idea. One of the most special parts of the platform is a role model matching feature. Based on the user’s interests, BizLaunch introduces her to a real woman in science, technology, medicine, or business who she can look up to. The app shares her name, her story, and an inspiring quote to help motivate the user as she moves forward. Every step of the platform is designed to help first time founders feel supported, confident, and inspired.

How we built it

I built the frontend using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to keep the app lightweight, accessible, and beginner friendly. I developed a dynamic quiz system using JavaScript that tracks user answers and recommends personalized results in real time. I integrated the Gemini API from Google to generate content such as business pitches and captions. This allowed to create a truly custom experience that changes based on what the user types. Every part of the design was created with simplicity and clarity in mind, so even someone with no business background can easily navigate the platform.

Challenges we ran into

In the beginning, I designed a traditional startup checklist with static tasks. But we quickly realized that it did not feel personal or unique. I wanted to create something that actually helped the user take action in a way that felt guided and interactive. This led me to replace the checklist with real time features powered by artificial intelligence. Another challenge was making sure the platform stayed clean and easy to use while integrating powerful tools like AI. I spent time testing and refining the layout so that the entire experience would feel natural for a first time user.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that BizLaunch became more than just a checklist or quiz. I built a platform that brings together design, artificial intelligence, and inspiration to support young entrepreneurs in a way that feels personal and empowering. One of my biggest accomplishments was integrating the Gemini model to generate business pitches and social media captions based on real user input. It made the experience feel dynamic and helped show what AI can really do to support beginners.

What we learned

Throughout this project, I learned how to use artificial intelligence in a way that feels human and helpful. I learned how to design for clarity and how to build something that solves a real problem. Most of all, I learned that it is possible to create something powerful with simple tools when you are focused on making a real difference for others.

What's next for BizLaunch

I plan to add new features such as pre written social media post templates, downloadable pitch decks, and a larger role model library featuring more women in business, medicine, and technology. I also want to build a community feature where users can share their ideas and support one another. BizLaunch is not just a tool. It is a starting place for teen girls who are ready to believe in their ideas and take the first step toward becoming entrepreneurs.
