πŸš€ Bizco: AI-Powered Innovation Assistant for Small and Medium Scale Businesses

πŸ’‘ Inspiration

When we saw how much trouble our uncle recently faced after starting a Real Juice dealership, I wondered β€” if a huge MNC like Dabur is facing such problems, then what must be happening to small and medium-scale businesses? I also discovered that outsourcing to marketing agencies can be expensive. And since I had just learned about AI, the idea occurred to me β€” why not try solving this problem using AI?

βš™οΈ What it does

Bizco is an AI-powered platform that helps small and production-based businesses:

  • πŸ“š Conduct structured secondary and primary research
  • πŸ—£οΈ Summarize customer feedback and extract key quotes
  • πŸ“ˆ Detect pain points and market opportunities
  • πŸ§ͺ Recommend new product prototypes, designs, or marketing strategies
  • πŸ” Personalize deals and outreach based on customer behavior

It replaces guesswork with guided, research-backed insights β€” all in a few clicks.

πŸ—οΈ How I built it

  • πŸ–₯️ Frontend: React + Tailwind CSS
  • πŸ” Auth & DB: Supabase for authentication and data management
  • πŸ€– AI/NLP: Hugging Face transformers (RoBERTa, BERT) for:
    • Sentiment analysis
    • Summarization
    • Pain point detection
    • Opportunity extraction
  • πŸ“Š Data Visualization: Seaborn, Matplotlib, WordCloud
  • 🧠 Business Logic: BCG Matrix + Product Lifecycle theory
  • 🧭 Research Flow: Secondary/Primary dataset uploads

🚧 Challenges I ran into

  • Designing a non-technical UI for primary/secondary research flow
  • Making AI-generated insights explainable and trustworthy
  • Working within compute limits and model inference costs
  • Combining qualitative (quotes) and quantitative (metrics) data in one UX

πŸ† Accomplishments that I am proud of

  • Delivered an end-to-end working MVP that businesses can actually use
  • Created an intelligent research assistant that works with real datasets
  • Integrated product design recommendations from raw customer feedback
  • Simplified complex innovation frameworks into one accessible platform

πŸ“š What I learned

  • Applying NLP models to real-world business challenges
  • Designing with business users in mind β€” not just developers
  • Using design thinking to define the user flow from insight to action
  • Structuring innovation tools around BCG Matrix and Product Life Cycle

πŸš€ What’s next for Bizco

  • πŸ”¬ Smarter product positioning using dynamic BCG Matrix thresholds
  • 🧩 Plug-and-play prototype generation for new product lines
  • 🌍 Geo + season-aware flavor/design recommendations
  • πŸŽ™οΈ Voice-based survey integration for primary research
  • 🀝 Partner pilots with local businesses and cooperatives
  • πŸ’Ό Full SaaS product with team collaboration & analytics dashboard
