Inspiration

In Bangladesh, thousands of young people dream of starting a business but lack a clear roadmap.
Most have under ৳1,00,000 saved, but they don’t know where to begin—especially when most business tools are built for other countries and use complex English.
Biz Sathi bridges that gap: an AI-powered, culturally aware advisor in both Bengali and English that helps anyone turn a small budget into a practical business plan.

What it does

  1. 2-Step Simplicity

    • Select your district and budget (৳3,000 – ৳1,00,000).

  2. AI-Powered Suggestions

    • Instantly generates 3–5 local business ideas (e.g., jhal muri carts, mobile-repair stalls, vegetable sales).

  3. Full Plan Generator

    • Provides:
      • Profit estimates
      • Customer profiles
      • Startup costs
      • Risk assessments + tips
      • 15-day action roadmap

  4. Export & History

    • Download your plan as an image
    • Save it in local history for later review

How we built it

  • Prompt-Driven with Bolt.new

    • Described core requirements (district, budget range, business data) in a single prompt
    • Iteratively refined design, responsiveness, and bilingual support with follow-up prompts

  • Deployment

    • Hosted on Netlify
    • Free custom domain via the Hackathon’s IONOS + Entri partnership
    • Automated CI/CD entirely through Bolt.new

Challenges we ran into

  • Prompt misunderstandings

    • Bolt.new sometimes regenerated the entire app instead of updating it

  • Favicon support

    • .ico files weren’t accepted by Bolt.new, so we skipped the custom favicon

  • Domain claiming

    • IONOS didn’t accept Bangladeshi street addresses—so i got help from my a US client to purchase this domain.

Accomplishments we’re proud of

  • Fully Bilingual UX: Bengali + English with native numerals and terminology
  • Hyper-Local AI: Business plans tailored for all 64 districts of Bangladesh
  • One-Click Export: Downloadable image plans for easy sharing and offline access

What we learned

  • Localization > Translation

    • Real local context (data, formats, culture) matters more than word-for-word conversion

  • Keep it Simple

    • A two-field input drives far higher engagement than lengthy surveys
