Inspiration
Bits of Bytes was inspired by our life together. After reconnecting from school and bonding over technology and AI, we built a family through fostering and adoption. Watching our children learn showed us a truth we couldn’t ignore: every child learns differently, yet education rarely adapts. We wanted to change that.
What it does
Bits of Bytes is an adaptive learning platform designed to meet learners where they are. It personalizes learning experiences so users can grow at their own pace, in their own way—making education more accessible, engaging, and inclusive for all.
How we built it
We combined our strengths. One of us focused on the technical foundation—building, iterating, and refining the platform—while the other shaped the educational vision, drawing from real-world parenting and learning experiences. Together, we designed and built a solution rooted in empathy and powered by modern technology.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing family life, fostering responsibilities, and building a tech product wasn’t easy. Translating the complexity of human learning into adaptable technology was another major challenge. We faced time constraints, technical hurdles, and the constant pressure to get it right—for real learners.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We turned a personal insight into a working platform. We built something meaningful together as a family. Most importantly, we created a tool that respects how differently people learn and gives them a better chance to succeed.
What we learned
We learned that the best ideas come from lived experience. Technology is most powerful when guided by empathy. And building something impactful takes patience, partnership, and a willingness to learn just as much as the users you’re building for.
What's next for Bits of Bytes
We’re continuing to improve the platform, expand its features, and reach more learners. Our goal is to grow Bits of Bytes into a trusted educational tool that helps make personalized, inclusive education the standard—not the exception.
